Pastor Adeboye’s Private Jet: What We Found Out

Pastor Adeboye is the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. He is among the richest pastors in Nigeria and the world.  He has a number of private jets to his name. The latest of these private jets cost $65 million.  The jet was purchased quietly but its purchase was made public by Sahara Reporters.

The news broke barely 24 hours after the pastor and founder of SCOAN, T.B. Joshua was rumored to have bought a $60 million private jet, a Gulfstream G550, a story he denied. The one bought by pastor Adeboye was much newer than the one T.B. Joshua was said to have bought.

The private jet was bought on the same date that the pastor decided to float a luxury jet company called Emmanuel Aviation. The jet was actually produced in the United States in 2013 and it was delivered to the pastor in May 2015.

Name of the new aircraft is N730EA Gulfstream G550. Pastor Adeboye was using an older aircraft named Gulfstream GIV with tail number N707EA before the new one arrived. He however changed from the old to the new once it was delivered.

He is the second pastor in Nigeria to begin a private airline company; that is, after Winners Chapel General Overseer, Bishop David Oyedepo, who is the owner of Dominion Air Company.

Shortly after purchase of the aircraft, Pastor Adeboye was said to have made a statement that he was richer than Bill Gates. His was said to have been a form of spiritual connotation.
